About JPW Companies

JPW Companies has been a trusted name in the steel industry since 1953. Following his service in the U.S. Army during World War II, John P. Wozniczka Sr. founded a steel fabrication business that quickly established a strong reputation across the Northeast. The company played a key role in fabricating large-scale stone quarry operations for clients such as General Crushed Stone, laying the foundation for decades of growth. Over the next two decades, the company expanded its footprint throughout the region, completing the fabrication and erection of more than 60 aggregate plants, paving plants, and quarry facilities.

In 1968, the company relocated to Hiawatha Boulevard in Syracuse, providing the space needed to support a dedicated fabrication shop and continued expansion. Working alongside his son, John Jr., Wozniczka Sr. built a reputation for reliability, quality, and the ability to take on complex projects of all sizes. As operations continued to grow, the company moved to its current location near Carrier Circle in the 1990s. With more than 100,000 square feet of space, the facility allowed for further investment in capabilities, equipment, and workforce.

Entering the 2000s, the next generation of leadership joined the organization, continuing to build upon the company’s strong foundation. With a focus on innovation, safety, and customer satisfaction, JPW Companies has evolved into a highly capable, multi-division operation. The organization has achieved notable industry recognition, including earning dual certifications in AISC Building Fabrication and AISC Advanced Complex Coating Systems.

Quality, safety, and teamwork remain central to the company’s success. Equally important is a deep commitment to the local community. From supporting regional institutions and events to contributing to projects that shape the Syracuse area, JPW Companies takes pride in being an active and engaged community partner. As a third-generation, family-owned business, the company is also focused on the future, with the next generation currently pursuing their education and expected to join the team upon graduation.  Allowing the company to continue a long-standing tradition of leadership, innovation, and dedication to excellence.
